Set The Example

We all know the power of an example. Examples help bring a fact or truth into three dimensions. An abstract concept or idea may be difficult to get our minds around, but an example helps to make the abstract concrete – easier to see and understand. Examples help to make truth accessible and personal. An unstoppable church is a church that sets an example. Paul offered his very life as an example of what it means to be Christ’s. “Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ,” (1 Corinthians 11:1, NASB).

How does our example invite people to share a relationship with Jesus? What message is growing in the field of our life? People need to see the words of Jesus written clearly in how we live. How do we encourage others to join with the light? Living an example means we surrender every moment to the love of Jesus. Evey word, every action must be an example that points to Him.
