Seeing Is Believing

Awareness is a vital trait of an unstoppable church. Awareness is the deliberate act of seeing. What we see can be an invitation to follow God’s movement or join Him in an opportunity to lift up Jesus. What we see can be a warning about danger to come. What we see can touch our hearts and move us to compassion. How we see is important. Seeing is the deliberate act of focusing our eyes on the movement of God around us. Seeing is believing. An unstoppable church is a church that sees.

Learning to see begins with a commitment to open eyes. Our vision gets clouded by routine apathy, self-satisfaction, and busyness. Little children open our eyes to the wonder and surprise of the world they are just discovering. God calls us to have the faith and open eyes of a little child. He longs for us to see His hand, shout in wonder at His grace, and watch intently for His movement in the world.
