Holy Habits: Perseverance

It is easy to get discouraged in the Christian walk. “You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?” (Galatians 5:7, NASB). The main commitment of our life is following Jesus Christ, and that means we are committed to developing holy habits. Perseverance is a powerful force in our lives.

Perseverance is a powerful habit to develop. Perseverance is blessed with a promise. “‘Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life,’” (Revelation 2:10, NASB). Perseverance is not about perfection – it’s about faithfulness. When the race is hard, we press on because our reward is not just survival – it’s the victor’s crown.
