Holy Habits : Knowledge

“The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision. But as that decision is repeated, a habit sprouts and grows stronger. Roots entrench themselves and branches grow,” (James Clear, Atomic Habits). Knowledge is not something we gain overnight, but in a lifetime of small progressive steps. Like an ice cube that melts with one degree of difference, the habit of knowledge is acquired in small but meaningful steps.

Growing in knowledge is a holy habit that makes a huge difference. Peter writes: “For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or shortsighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins,” (2 Peter 1:8-9, NASB).
